Round 1 of the Air New Zealand Cup comes to Wellington when the Vodafone Wellington Lions take on Otago in the first Ranfurly Shield match at Westpac Stadium on Friday 31 July 2009.

Get down to the Stadium, wear your yellow and blacks and and support Wellington in their bid for glory. Kick off is at 7:35pm. Kids get in free to the game too, so bring all your kids and grandchildren along with you.

The Air New Zealand Cup is where the nation's top teams battle it out to be top dog in New Zealand rugby. The season kicks off on Thursday 30 July and will play over 15 weeks, with the final on Saturday 7 November. It will be a full round robin format with all teams playing each other and hosting either six or seven home matches.
