From paintings to pottery, mosaics to musicians, teddies to tandoori, flowers to fairies, jewellery to jugglers... it's all at the Frank Kitts Market. The Frank Kitts Market is on every Saturday from 10am - 4pm undercover in Frank Kitts Park, Wellington. The market has around 120 stalls, each hand-picked. The festivities and entertainment at Frank Kitts Market were officially launched when Wellington Mayor Kerry Prendergast cut the ribbon on Saturday 12 December 2009. There will be entertainment from local musicians and performers each week, and there's a dedicated area for buskers as well as a street theatre and performance area. Frank Kitts Market will bring to life the abundance of creativity and innovation that is within the city and present it in a vivid sensory experience each weekend for locals and tourists alike. The market, which is supported by a Council grant, is the brainchild of Helena Tobin and Wendy Jasper who have worked hard to find people making high-quality and unique clothing, jewellery, gifts and homewares. "We want to appeal to families who are looking for affordable, cultural weekend activities they can attend in any weather," says Helena. The Frank Kitts Market is a great place to meet while being entertained by local musicians and performers, as there is always be something to watch. The Market's designated area for buskers and street theatre performers ensures great entertainment at the market each week. The quality of stalls both in presentation and the goods/services is paramount. The types of
